I am a PhD student and teaching assistant at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, where I am a member of the Laboratory for Data Science, advised by Prof. Erik Štrumbelj. My research asks how people perceive and interpret visualizations of uncertainty, combining experimental design, user studies, and statistical analysis. I co-developed a general method for visualizing uncertainty in statistical graphics, published in IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, and I maintain its open-source Python implementation, bootplot.

Before the PhD, I completed an M.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Ljubljana with a thesis on cost-sensitive learning for click-through-rate prediction in online advertising (in collaboration with Teads), and worked as a software engineer at SRC d.o.o., building Java full-stack applications. I represent PhD students of the University of Ljubljana on the EUTOPIA Student Council.
